The bear went into the forest

Today in literacy we had to make a forest with a bear on drive it was hard but i finished we had to do the grass backgrounds and trees it was fun hears what i did and we are learning how to make our sentences better.

Tea cup solving

Today in maths we did problem solving with Tea cups it was really hard i needed help i got help from the teacher then i did the rest we couldn't get the same color going down.

this week we are doing keeping our self safe  today we red a story about a baby sitter the girl loved but last time when the baby sitter came she pulled down the little girls pants then touched something that felt weird. We did a chart a about three solution I worked with my friend Surn.

Clip And Climb

Today the years 4's went to a school trip we went to Clip n Climb. First we had to put harnesses on then we went to the climbing section. And if we completed challenges we could go on the slide. I did complete a challenge but i didn't want to go on the slide. Clip And Climb was so fun. I  made it to the top on some.

Athletics

Today we did athletics we did fun relays, high jump, long distance, discus, shot put and long jump it was really fun today i wish we did it again.

What is Horton like

This week in literacy I looked at. Horton hatches the egg. I found it easy because we had to pick out words then write what happens in the story. Horton is a kind Ellhent

Where is Te reo maori

Today we did Te reo maori. we did Where is it on a sheet so we had to do the answers this is what I did. Toni my friend helped me out with the sheet because i don't know maori .

The Tiger Came To Tea

We read a book about the Tiger coming to tea  after we read that we had to do our must dos we had to re order the book. Then we had to Colour and Illustrate the poem when i finished that i did Speech Bubbles. After we did that we had to blog it

St Andrews fun Day!

On Friday some leaders from St Andrews school came to SouthHornby. They ran some activities for us including Jump ja m, marshmallow towers, multisport  playdough , Ping Pong catapult. They also made us a free lunch. We had hot dogs and a juice.

An Alien stole my movie

Today in reading i read a book called An Alien stole my movie. The book was about The Aliens stealing a movie from the kids. The kids gave the aliens the movie. We had to do a sheet about the story that we read. After we did the sheet we had to blog it.

In reading we are learning to summarize. We read a newspaper artical about the first moon landing in to  1996. We had pick out the key words and put them into sentences.

 In writing we are learning to use adjectives. We had to describe an alien. We  brain stormed together words and sentences. We had to put them into sentences using full stops and capital letters.

Today we were learning about Graphing I made a graph about Eye color other people did food and hair color but i didn't my graph was this most people had brown eyes i had blue eyes there was 16 brows 5 blue and 2 others.

In maths we have been learning how to find a fraction of a number. We had to get a partner my partner was kahu so what we had to do is get to colors then we would pick a color that they would put at the top then they will count that they picked then they count all the counters then they put the counters at the bottom my buddy did a hard one i didn't get it.

Aliens love underpants

In Reading we read the story Aliens love underpants. It is about aliens coming to earth to steal peoples underpants. We had 4 activities to do. They were Create a ''stop'' sigh to tell the aliens not to take the underpants. next we had to do Design a super fantastic  amazing pair of underpants  that the aliens would love the most. then we had to Design a new spacecraft for the aliens. Then we had to design a sticker for the aliens spacecraft.

Arrays

In maths we have been learning to solve multiplication  problames by using repeated addition or our time tables. Mrs mcGuinety gave us a sheet with smily faces on it and we had to cut them up into  rectangles. We then had to work out how many faces, there were in each one using repeated addtion or time tables.

what we had to do is get 19 blocks and put it in to 3 groups the color's we needed to get is 3 yellows and 3 blues and 3 red's and we had to different. then another thing of every thing again this is what i did above.

the lorax

in literacy we have been reading the story by dr.suess called The Lorax. We learnt all about the chatterers. We described The Lorax and the once-ler. We wrote description about The once-ler. We compared the characters. We looked at what was the same and what what was different about them.

instant pudding

in writing we have been learning to use wow words. we had to describe what instant pudding tasted,smelt, looked and felt like. i found describing easy. I found nothing hard i  loved doing the work.

kindness

today we were making a poem about kindness.We did this poem because what had happened on Friday on 16 of march in 2019.first we brain stormed about kindness then we went to the mat and the teacher wrote all of the ideas on the board.Then we made our poem about kindness

in writing we have been writing colour poems. i love to learn to spell new stuff we have being doing a poem about re or blue or green we had to do red first.

hockey

peter  came from Canterbury we had to dribble first. Then we had make the ball stick to the stick its hard kinda. then we did my favorite thing this is what you do the ball rolls to the side then you get the hockey stick and the bottom arm is going to be lose then you roll the ball and move the stick to side to side. then we played a game  could rob the nest but with the hockey stick.
